Due to the fact that hair roots are much softer and brushing can cause them to slip out.

I used to brush my hair while wet in the shower and with a spray bottle all the time. Id recommend this. Don't use a hard brush while using the h20 method. Try a soft or medium bristle brush.

Best Shampoo For 360 Waves?

This is a common question. There is no need to fret over shampoo. You cant go wrong with shampoo unless you buy something that is meant for permed hair or for detangling hair. I've used the cheap shampoos like the cheap suave clarifying shampoo, head and shoulders, tresemme shampoos, etc. I could go on and one. The real idea is to find something that works for you. If you have dandruff, use a danruff shampoo. If you have an oily itchy scalp, use a proper shampoo to clean it.

Some people use baking soda to wash their hair. I may make a new post later for that though.

Conditioner?

Well the same as shampoo, find yours. When i actually did condition, i used to use organic root stimulator olive oil conditioner. You can find it in most drug stores. Works great. But as i said, try your own for your own hair.

My 360 Wave Journey

I have been keeping the statistics of my visitors to this site and realized I have a lot of visitors coming back over multiple days. I'm sorry I haven't made any new posts or anything on the blog. I feel I have plenty of information on my blog which is plenty of information for my readers to learn how to get waves. If you dig through the blog you'll be sure to find all the information you need. Update: I'm still waving and what not. I haven't been wolfing at all but still brushing throughout the day and duragging up at night. The right side has been a bit difficult to get waved up but its coming in pretty nicely. I would leave you with some pictures but honestly I don't feel like taking the pics right now so I may leave you with some in maybe the next few days. If you have any questions, just leave a comment and I'll be sure to hit you up with an answer. Also I'd really like if you shared this blog around with friends on the internet and what not. I'd really like to get my blog plenty of views because I have put a lot of work into providing all this information. You can find it in most stores that sell hair products. It is a grease product that is supposed to thicken out your hair and also keep your scalp oiled. My review over the product: It is a nice smelling grease that does keep my hair moisturized, yet it is a bit too greasy, but it does seem to be darkening my hair a bit in some spots such as near my hairline where it is thinning a bit. I wouldn't recommend the product solely for waves because it wasn't created to be a great product to help with waves but it is useful if your hair is a bit thin and could be darkened a bit.

Recovering From a Scalpage

A scalping is when you get your hair cut too low for waves to exist. A scalping usually comes from when your barber cuts your hair wrong or some people even get scalped because they want to start over with the wave process to correct things they couldn't while wolfing. The best way to recover is to keep brushing and duragging. Brush with the soft brush while your hair is really short and make your way from the softy to the medium then to the hard again when your hair becomes thicker. When scalped, usually your wave pattern is still in your head so when your hair grows back you will begin to see your pattern come back. It often goes away if you didn't brush or if your wave pattern wasn't completely trained.

Dandruff & The Scalp

Dandruff is the clear indicator that you have a dry scalp.A dry scalp makes it much harder to get waves.Dandruff can be caused by washing hair too much and stripping it of its natural oils too much or not washing it enough. And it is also caused by not oiling/moisturizing the scalp.Waves will be more easier to obtain if your scalp is moisturized and soft so waves can be formed easier than having a dry hard scalp.

KEEP YOUR SCALP CLEAN AND MOISTURIZED but don't put too much grease or moisturizer because this can clog the pores in your scalp and cause acne.

Straight Razor Line Up

Learn To Give Straight Razor Edge ups.I have recently bought a straight razor and edging up with one is a bit tough but the line comes out crisp and once you get good with it,its a cheaper edge up and a cleaner one too. brushing your hair wet while in the shower.I say this is very effective because the water makes your hair very soft while brushing(use a hard brush) and this effectively moves your hair and straightens out curls which forms the waves.I recommend doing like 4 minutes of shower brushing maybe 2 or 3 times a week.I don't recommend doing the h20 method if you've been wolfing for a long time since your hair will probably be hard to get laid back down.
<img width='1' height='1' addressed."Are Durags and Wavecaps necessary for 360 waves?".The answer is no,they are not necessary but they can be helpful.Since most people often move around while they sleep your hair which may be still in training to lay down (An important part of waving is training your hair to lay down by simply brushing and duragging helps). So if your hair is still in training and it is getting shifted around while you sleep then your hair will not train properly to lay down and it will be harder to get waves. It is possible if you stay still at night on one side of your body and you don't mess your hair up TOO BAD that you can still train it and get it to wave up.If you already have waves and you do this then you can easily wake up and brush them and they'll look ok but it will require more brushing in the mornings for your waves to stay maintained.Certain durags and wavecaps can give you headaches so make sure you choose the correct soft ones that fit well for you.
<img width='1' height='1' haircut.Firstly, you must wash your hair the night before to get all the greases out or what not that may make the haircut uneven due to it being hard to cut hair when it is caked up with grease or something(So dont add products before you get a haircut).Secondly, make sure your hair is nice and laid down when you go to the barber(don't get all sweaty or something before you go to the barber and don't forget to wear that durag overnight and right before you get to the barber). Lastly, do some heavy duty brushing before you get the cut to insure best results after wolfing.

360 Waves In The Summer

Well there is one thing that can affect you greatly while getting waves in the summer. The humidity is outrageous during the summer and this can cause extreme frizz so I don't recommend WOLFING during the summer unless you don't plan on being in the outdoors daily and I'm one who likes being outside so I don't wolf very long at all during the summer. There can be a few reasons for this.

You aren't brushing your hair enough.

You aren't wearing your durag at night.

You are wolfing and your waves are hard to see. (They are still there, but this could indicate that it is about time for a cut)

You got a cut that was too low for your wave pattern so your pattern was weak and disappeared(usually what happens)

What you can do to get them back? Brush! Brush and they'll be back in no time. What I can say to prevent waves from disappearing? Try another product to hold your waves if you get really low cuts. I usually say stay away from pomades so maybe try a product with a nice hold to your waves like Indian Hemp. But just try to shy away from low cuts and get a nice wave cut like a 2 wtg or a 1.5 wtg.

Self Edge Up Method

Well a lot of people would like to save money by learning how to edge yourself up also called Line yourself up. I already made a post on how to cut your own hair now I will give you a short method to giving yourself a line up. This method works for me and hopefully it will help my readers. Hopefully you will learn after this how to give yourself a self edge up.

Products Necessary:

Comb

Your choice of Liners/Clippers/Trimmers(Call them what you want).I use andis T Liners

The Process:

Its quite simple. When lining yourself up, you are pretty much blind sided due to the clippers being in the way of seeing your hairline so what I do is put the comb right in front of my hairline as like a barrier. I put it directly behind the place where I want to place my clippers to start the line up. Then I'll take my trimmers and proceed to doing the edge up. So basically what I'm doing is using a ruler and a pencil to draw a straight line if you know what im saying. I do the same on the sides of the box near the temple of the head. I point the comb directly down and proceed to trimming and the comb once again acts as a barrier while my trimmers just trim away the newly grown hairs. So basically I'm constantly moving the comb in a straight line on the top of the box(front of the hair) till I get the edge up I want. Hope this helps you out.

It's quite simple and I've only started using it recently and it works nicely. It might even work for a double edge up......Risky though.

The Worst Youtube 360 Wave Video

This is by far the worst wave video. I was thinking of getting a Mohawk and keeping the 360 waves on the sides and even keep the 360 waves on the mohawk but they'll be puffed up a little bit. This was just a thought that came to me when I was listening to "Ain't I" by Yung LA and I saw his Mohawk and thought about this. I'm going to try it and maybe this will give my readers an idea. Of course it won't work for everybody so I wouldn't recommend the Mohawk for all black people who want 360 waves but it's just an idea.

Here is an example of the Mohawk I'm talking about, so imagine it with 360 waves. No hidden codes, no rocket science. Just you, your arm, your hand, and your brush. For some reason people think they can create books and such things and charge you people for some kind of SECRET on getting waves which is totally ridiculous. All my information is free and easy and can help you get perfect, flawless waves.

So the simple question is....How can I get 360 Waves? And What is the easiest way to get 360 waves?

How to get 360 waves- You achieve 360 waves by brushing your hair with its natural grain and by straightening out a curl. What i mean by this is...A wave is nothing more than a straightened out curl. The brushing straightens out this curl and forms a WAVE. Now when you brush, the waves are not going to come out perfect, they will come out crooked, this is not a MAY or a MAYBE. This is a definite. When first starting out your waves will seem crooked but with enough brushing and wolfing you will straighten them out. What is wolfing??? Check My Wave Definitions post to understand what these words mean.

Another Key Thing is training your hair. You may ask, what is this?? Well what I mean by training your hair is training it to lay down. You are basically training your hair by brushing it. Every time you brush your hair you are training it. There is a method known as the H20 Method that helps with this. Want more information on this? View the blog archive for "H20 Method" (under the month of Janurary).

Now How often do I brush?

When i first started waving I would brush for 1 hour a day to 2 hours a day. Now, this isn't all at one time. It's spread out into different parts. I'd brush at school, I'd brush while watching television, I'd brush while on the computer, there are tons of opportunities for you to brush your hair. It will take a while to get perfect 360 waves but it will come one day! Just follow my guide!

Now, i only have to brush 10-20 minutes to maintain my hair waves. But i'm still getting them better connected so i tend to brush 30-45 minutes daily.

Where to Find good Brushes

Well I have lately been getting my brushes off of ebay. So this is just a thought, try ebay, they have cheap, new brushes for sale!

Update 4/28 360 waves

Really Quick Tip

Don't become obsessed with 360 waves! This is just a few questions and answers so you can get your question answered real quick. But also view the rest of this blog for a more in depth post about certain topics such as getting 360 waves, and wolfing, and the h20 method, etc. Note. I made one of these already but this is a revised one with more answers and questions

How Do you get 360 waves?

by brushing your hair constantly and wolfing.

What is Wolfing?

Wolfing is growing your hair for extended periods to work on connections and depth. (This answers, "how do i get my waves deeper and more connected"

What Is The h20 Method?

It is exactly as it sounds. It is wetting your hair in some way(Spray bottle or water from a shower.etc.) And brushing it dry then repeating. This is said to help train your hair to lay down and it makes hair softer.

What is Shower Brushing?

The same as h20 method, but you're in the shower instead.

What is the best product to use?

Nobody can answer this for you! You need to try different moisturizers to see what does the job for you! This is the same for shampoos.

What is pomade for?

Pomade is mostly used for wolfing to help lay your hair down while it is long. There isn't anything truly wrong with pomade except it can clog pores and contains petrolatum in it which is something you don't really want in your products.

What brush should I use? (Soft, Med, or Hard?)

Depending on your length of hair. If the soft brush can move your hair sufficiently then use it. If the medium does the job then use it. And the hard should be used while wolfing or if you want to use it while not wolfing, then do you.

How often should I shampoo?

Every 2 or 3 days depending on what you do everyday. If you get really dirty, then of course you'll need to wash it. But don't wash your hair too much or else you'll be washing away the natural oils away from your scalp too often. And you don't want a dry scalp all the time.

What cut should I get?

If you're new to waving then I recommend getting a #2 wtg. But you can test other cuts to see if they work for you.

How Long should I wolf?

A normal wolfing session can be from 4-12 weeks. This also depends on your hair! If you can handle going another week, then go another week.

How do I brush?

From your crown.(the top of your head that has like a spiral on it)

What can I do about frizz?

You can't do that much, except brush it back down. That's why it can be difficult to wave and do waves at the same time. But don't worry, you're not losing waves because your hair is frizzy, they're still there, you'll just have to brush your hair back down and put a durag on

What is better, durag or wave cap?

Depends on what you like on your head. They both do the same thing.

What should I do after a cut?

You can add a little pomade to hold your pattern nicely or you can just brush with your softy. Whatever you want to do, there isn't anything special you need to do after a cut.

Can Women Get 360 waves too?

Women have better hair textures than men usually so yes they can get waves usually faster than men.

360 Waves Youtube Videos

Please don't believe all the stuff about 360 waves that you hear on youtube. Anyways, I found this site called Cashcrate.com that has been paid me every month(4 months now). So you may ask, What do I do? I get paid to complete short, easy surveys and quizzes that are also called Cash offers. I'm only 14 and I'm making about 60 dollars a month doing basically nothing. There are members earning about 2,000 dollars a month, but you have to know what you're doing to earn that much. Anyways, I recommend that my readers check it out! Click the banner below. But I am about to share a little tip maybe you can call it a secret too. The secret is CONSISTENCY. Consistency. Often you see somebody brushing, they might brush the top like 4 times then go to the back and brush it like 2 times and then the sides like 6 times. That's not consistent! Thats why I can recommend counting your strokes. You get better results if you do one side consistent. For example, brush your top for like at least 30 strokes before stopping. Don't just brush it 5 times and then go to another side and do it again. Well the answer to this question is, YES! White people can get 360 waves. It takes more effort but it is possible. How can you get them? Its just like getting 360 waves as a black person. You have to wolf your hair for an extended time until your hair begins to curl and you form waves by brushing those curls. When you brush these curls, they end up forming waves after you continuously brush. If you really want to learn how to get 360 waves, three sixty waves, as a white person, visit 360waves.net and register for the site and ask questions on how to get waves for white people. scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='Waving Warnings'/>
The Use Of Texturizer For Waves

Let me first say that you should never use a Texturizer to get waves! Ok with that said..........

Ok, many wavers you may see walking around have used a thing called a kit, or a texturizer kit. You have probably seen these kits in CVS or Walgreens or some store such as this. People look at waving as a game, the wave game is what they call it. And when you "kit" people often look at you as CHEATING in the game since texturizers change your hair texture to be easier to wave up. It wont give you instant waves, it will give you a different texture. When you texturize your hair, its usually quite clear to see if you've used one or not so don't think that you can sneak one into your head. Now, I'm here to convince you why you shouldnt use a texturizer for your hair. These texturizers are basically chemicals that you put on your head, these chemicals will make your hair eventually fall out. As you age, your hair will begin to fall out at an early age, maybe at age 20-30 or so, the chemicals will make your hair fall out. THIS IS IF YOU KEEP USING THE TEXTURIZER. Because for texturizers you have to use them like once or twice a month and add the chemicals over and over.

To sum all of this up Don't Use a Texturizer!!!Just Don't Do it

Peace

King Cash Durag Method

This is a type of way to wear your durag so that your waves come down to your hairline. This is how you do it.

Put an untied durag on your head with a stocking cap over it. Just let the two long strings hang and let the flap in the back do the same with the wave cap on the top covering your ears. This allows it to cover your hair line in the back so that you don't get left with a gap in your hair. As a matter of fact it helped me get waves down to my hairline in the back. Just make sure you brush your lower hair line a lot! Many people have different brushing directions such as brushing the sides straight down. This sometimes isn't good because it can be hard to connect your sides with the top. The correct way to brush is to brush from THE CROWN of the head. The crown is located at the very top of your head and the crown doesn't usually have its own GRAIN of hair so it is kind of a swirl at the top of the head. You should brush from the crown down to the hairline. That's the correct way to brush. Pomade helps your hair lay down and keeps a good hold.

Moisturizers- Moisturizers are very important things when waving, they keep your hair moist and soft. See, keeping your hair moisturized is important too because when i stated the myth above about your hair falling out....well this happens if your hair isnt moisturized very well. It will become dry and brittle and weak, so use a moisturizer.

The Grain- The grain of your hair is the way it grows. Like usually the top will grow forward, the sides at an angle and the back straight down. You want to brush with the grain of your hair, meaning brush it the way it grows.

Agt(Against the grain)- going against the way your hair grows

Wtg(with the grain)-brushing the way your hair grows

The Crown- The crown is located at the top of your head. It is the swirl that is there that doesnt quite have a GRAIN.

Kit- A texturizer used for changing the texture of your hair. YOU DONT WANT TO MESS WITH THESE!!! DONT DO IT!

Myths

A few myths about 360 waves.

-You must be african american to get 360 waves.

-If you brush too much your hair will fall off.

-If your hair is nappy then you will not get waves.

-You will achieve great waves brushing only 5 minutes a day.

-There is a special brush for 360 waves.

These statements all false so don't believe them

Wolfing

The term wolfing your waves as I defined in "Wave Definitions" is growing your hair out past being easily managed. So a minimum wolf is about 4 weeks. Many wavers go up to 10 weeks or so. I have heard of a waver(a white waver) going for 22 weeks. To get the most out of your wolfing, you must brush and brush while wolfing. A lot of brushing during wolfing will turn out to be deeper and better connected waves when you get the cut after your wolf.

Frequently Asked Questions

I can't see my waves very well, what's going on?
-Well this is from all that hair being on top of your waves and it will seem that they aren't looking as DEFINED as they were before you were wolfing but when you are done wolfing and get that cut, they will be deeper and better connected if you brushed efficiently.

Do I have to wolf to get 360 waves??
-No, a lot of wavers don't wolf and they still have full 360s. BUT, wolfing is the way to get Deeper 360 Waves.

What brush should I use while wolfing?
-Well depending on what week you are on while wolfing decides this question. If a medium brush will move your hair efficiently then use it. But if it can't, then use the harder brush.

When your hair is out of control and too hard to handle(hard to brush and keep laid down) then you definitely need a haircut.

Connections for 360 Waves

Now one of the vital parts of waving besides depth is connections! People always want to know "how can I perfect my connections"! This is simple, brush and wolf your waves. Wolfing, as I said before, is growing your hair for an extended amount of time so your hair can curl up and you can brush it. Well while wolfing, your connections usually become much better. Some people say using a soft brush helps with connections. That's a myth! A soft brush hardly does anything but lay down your hair. A hard brush can easily help connect your waves so don't believe that myth. All i have to say is give your waves time and keep brushing and wolfing! They will eventually connect! Just keep brushing and wolfing until your waves are perfect!

How To Wave Up The Right Side

Well there can be difficulties for some getting the right side of the head to "wave up". I went through it too. The reasons for this can be that most people sleep on their right side and you could be moving your head a lot and could be messing up your wave pattern. Another big problem is that the right side sometimes tends to grow in a different direction than your left side. Like I know a lot of wavers who brush the right side down and their left side in an angle. This is the most common reason. And it is also can just be harder to train. What I'm saying is, don't give up on your right side. Try different brushing angles(down, forward, angle) and keep brushing it and brush that side the most if its the hardest to wave up.

View ------> "Older Posts"

for the next page.

My Personal Method

Well I have been asked thousands of times, WHAT IS YOUR METHOD! Well a method is basically what you use in your hair and when you brush and etc. Well I don't really have a METHOD. You don't need a method for waving all you need is your brush, your hair, your product, and your durag.

So I'll give you my somewhat "Method"

First of all, I brush constantly daily all day whenever I have free time. At night I add a moisturizer such as OLIVE OIL, which is a great product to keep your hair moist and provide shine to your hair. After that, I brush for a while (maybe about 15-30 minutes). Then I put a durag/wavecap on and go to sleep. Morning, I take off the durag/wavecap and brush a little bit in the morning(5 minutes or so). After that I get ready for another day of school and I brush in class at school. I probably spend like 30 minutes total all day in school brushing my hair. I don't brush 30 minutes straight though. I may brush for 3 minutes here and there. Then I get home from school and brush whenever I have free time. Then I get in the shower and usually i don't wet my hair on some days, but some days I feel like Shower Brushing, which helps alot! Read my section "H20 Method" for information on that. After I get out the shower I repeat what I did the following night with the olive oil.

That is much method in a nutshell. It is simple and it has gotten me great waves. Waving isn't Rocket Science. It is easy and this method can be a great example for a simple method you may wish to use.

Your Hair Texture

Everybody has their own type of hair texture. Either it be "Nappy" also called coarse,straight,curly/naturally wavy. Any hair texture can get hair.
White people can even get waves. BUT as I have said before a wave is nothing more than a straightened curl. For white people's hair texture, it is naturally straight. But usually when it reaches a certain length it starts to curl. So you must WOLF until it starts curling and then you must brush and brush to straighten out those curls.
But anyways your hair texture determines what type of waves you get. For example, Nappy/Coarse hair gets you Micro Waves(Skinnier Waves) and the naturally curly(Cuban/Jamaican hair) will get the deeper waves. So if you wish to get those amazing deep waves and you have nappy hair you will have to settle with what you got which are micros. Not everyone's waves will come out the same, it all depends on your hair texture.

How To Cut You Own Hair

Well I figured some are interested in cutting your own hair when waving. I have been doing it for a long time now. If you aren't interested in cutting hair then you can just skip this section and move on and keep learning about the Wave Game.

Tools:
-Clippers
-Guards
-Brush
-Comb
-Hand mirror

Basic Definitions you will have to know:
Against the grain-going against the way you brush your hair
With the grain-with the grain, the same way you brush your hair. Good cut for those starting off waving.
Taper level-The lever on the side that adjusts the cut

Info:
Against the grain cuts are the cuts you should definitely start off with. You cant mess up going agt. Going wtg can be difficult because you might accidentally go agt. You should practice going wtg by turning off your clippers and practicing the directions u brush with the clippers. It can be difficult holding the clippers. You have to find your own way to hold them so that it is comfortable and effective.
Don't do tapers. Just dont do them. You will be trying to give yourself a taper but instead giving yourself a chilibowl cut which is ugly, and you don't want ugly cuts.

The Cutting Process:
Plug in your clippers. (Don't get the wireless ones, my barber told me they sucked).Brush your hair in the direction that you usually brush. Don't forget your crown. Brush your crown really good. Then i comb my hair wtg so my hair sticks up a little so i can get a more even cut.Comb it all the way around going wtg of course. Then proceed to cutting either wtg or agt(i usually do wtg cuts).
The way i cut wtg is by cutting from the crown to the hairline since that is the way i brush my hair.Comb it then cut it(very simple), but the crown is the hardest part to cut. You must comb it very effectively so you know what direction it is going. My crown is not very well trained so its important to comb the crown.
When cutting agt, i comb it wtg then cut agt, then comb again, then go agt. You do this until you have finished your agt cut. When cutting the crown you dont have to worry about anything, just cut it agt.

Good Cuts I like:
2wtg,1.5wtg,1wtg(when hair is trained), Cant find a 1.5? Put on a no.1 guard and set the taper level high so it is like a 1.5wtg.

4agt(very dark cut),3agt(like between a 1.5-2wtg)

Lining Your Own Hair Up:
Get the Andis T-liner(a pair of clippers)
And practice.Thats all i can say. Practice. I wouldn't totally recommend it because it's dangerous if you don't know what you're doing because you can fade your lineup back accidentally. So I recommend you just go to the barber to get a lineup.

That ends the brief information on Cutting Your Own Hair. This is a decent guide to cutting your own hair and it is helpful if you are interested.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the point of a comb? The comb untangles Naps or just coils of hair. The comb can be vital in waving while you are Wolfing. When you wolf, your hair becomes much thicker and the comb can help untangle and coils of hair or napps that develope while wolfing. You don't want to OVER COMB! Don't comb too much or it will straighten your hair too much! Don't expect a comb to form waves, it isn't used for that. You don't actually really need a comb if you have a hard brush while wolfing, it usually untangles those coils of hair for you but you should have one just in case your hair doesn't cooperate with you and it just coils up. Again, this isn't totally necessary! Do it if your hair is maybe Coarse or "NAPPY". Because that hair texture sometimes doesn't "COOPERATE" with you.

Earn Extra Cash Online

Need Some Extra Cash For Hair Products???? This means the barber uses a number 2 guard(a type of guard that cuts at wave length) and goes with the way that you brush.

Another common one is a 1 and a half(1.5) wtg(with the grain)

Those are the 2 safe cuts you should try. Is....THE BRUSH!

Hard Brush- Used when wolfing and is mostly used for acieveing deeper waves and alot of wavers use only a hard brush which can be ok.

Soft Brush-Said to be used for connections(connecting waves) but i believe thats just a myth as well.I use my soft brush just to lay down my hair. The soft brush lays down those stupid hairs that just stick up.

Medium Brush-Does a little bit of both of the soft and hard.

"What brand of brushes should I use"?

Well the #1 brush brand in my opinion is DIANE. They can be hard to find in some areas but if you cannot find them then experiment with different brands of brushes.

NowThe Hair Products Such As Moisturizers and Such.

Moisturizers- Pink Lotion, Olive Creme, Carrot Creme, Motions Moisturizer, Shea Butter, hair mayonnaise, there are many other moisturizers and you may need to experiment with different ones to see which one works for your hair texture the best.

Pomades- Sportin Waves Pomade, Dax Pomade,360 style Pomade, Nu Nile Pomade. Now pomades are used just for hold and definition. Like when you're wolfing for a long period of time, you should probably use a pomade to keep your hair laid down. Pomades are a bit unhealthy for your hair due to having a lot of petrolatum in it(which can clog pores) but it does get the job done regardless. But be warned, don't use too much pomade in your hair or else it will get "caked up" or your pores will get clogged!

Greases- Indian Hemp, Doo Gro Products. Indian hemp is kind of like a pomade since it has a good hold to it but it has a lot of petrolatum in it which Is not good for your hair as I said in the previous paragraph. Doo gro helps your hair get thicker and I've used it in the past and I liked it. But just use one jar every now and then.

Head Wear

Durag or wavecap- Get a durag or wavecap, doesn't matter which one. I prefer a durag because you can determine how tight you want it, but sometimes I wear a durag and a wavecap on top for extra hold at night.

Where can you find these products??

You can find them at Walgreens, CVS, Kroger, Beauty Supply Stores(best place), And many other places, they're not rare or anything.

I also found another product guide with a list of good brushes, moisturizers, and head gear for waving! Here ya go

But remember Wavebuilder isn't a good Wave site. 360waves.net is the best wave site!

Warning
Don't go overboard on the products! People spend way too much money on products when your are in need of only really only 3 products. A brush, a product(moisturizer or pomade etc.) and obviously a durag.

Also I don't recommend products by Wavebuilder, those products will dry out your hair and they are just bad products.

How to Get Deep 360 Waves

People often ask me How to get deep/deeper 360 waves. Well the only way to get deeper 360 waves Is to Wolf your hair. Wolfing as I said before in a previous post is growing your hair out long and past manageability. This somehow causes your waves to become deeper. The average Wolfing period is 4 weeks to 8 weeks of growing your hair out. Tips on wolfing are, getting shape ups every 2 weeks, getting a trim(cutting off the loose hairs), and wearing 2 wavecaps or a durag with a wave cap on top. It may sometimes look like your 360 waves are fading away when wolfing, this is because you have a lot of hair on top of your head and it may be hard to see them under there, BUT THEY'RE STILL THERE! Once you get a cut after you wolf you won't regret wolfing because they will look deeper and better connected as long as you brush often when wolfing. When wolfing, use a hard brush and brush at least 30 minutes a day. At least brush 20 to see decent progress. The more you brush, the better your waves will be!!

Washing Hair

Now is the stage of Washing 360 Waves. This can be the worst part of waving. Well it is to me anyways due to when you get out, depending on how high you hair is, it may look frizzy and crappy. When you wash your hair, which is something you must do every 3 days or so, it rinses out the natural oils in your hair which give it a natural shine and give your waves their true definition. So when you get out, they won't look as good as the day before. And after you get out you have to do some serious brushing to get it laid back down. When I wash my hair, I usually use some Olive Oil Shampoo, which is really healthy for your hair. I apply it going WTG(with the grain) and then I brush it in with my shower brush(the brush I use only for the shower which is a hard brush) for about 2 minutes then I let the water rinse it. Then I wash it again and just apply it wtg and don't brush it in and let it rinse. Then I'm done but then I get out of the shower and I usually brush my hair with my shower brush until my hair is dry. Then after that I add a moisturizer because your hair will be dry after you wash it, and then I brush A LOT and then I durag it up.

Now there is a thing called "Washout". Washout happens when you get a haircut and you wash your hair that night. It happens due to your hair being thinner than it was when you were wolfing and what Washout does is it kind of washes out some of your waves so they don't show as much definition. Some people don't believe in Washout and think its just some myth but I kind of believe in it. What people say to do is not wash your hair for 4 days after you get a haircut(this can be kind of nasty due to you got your haircut from a barber who has cut other people's hair with those clippers). I would just wash your hair that very day and forget about washout because that's nasty, UNLESS you cut your own hair with your own clippers and you know they aren't nasty from other people's hair.

That's all I have to say about Washing 360 Waves

The H20 Method

Now this method is called well The H20 Method. This method is performed exactly as it sounds. I used it when I first started waving and it's a great method to use when you start trying to achieve waves. This is how you do the h20 method:

1. Get a spray bottle of some type, or just wet your hair by putting it under the faucet(just get your hair all wet). Note* Not too wet, but just so it drips a little bit.

2. Get a brush. Doesn't matter what it is. It can be soft, medium,or hard.

3. Brush your hair till your hair is dry. Just brush it the normal way that you always do.

4. Repeat the process a few more times.

5. Put a durag on. Always put a wavecap or durag on after you do this method because the water will make your hair stand up.

Now that is the H20 Method. Now you may ask yourself, what does this method do?? Well the water softens your hair(most people don't know that) and when you brush your hair while it is wet, it makes it much easier to move your hair. This method trains your hair to lay down which is an important part of waving. Laying your hair down and training it to laid down is very important. Wearing a durag will also help it to train your hair but not as well as brushing.

Now Do I have to use the H20 Method?

No! Definitely not, many wavers don't use it because they just don't like it for various reasons such as it drys up your hair, which is true since water does do that. And its a bit uncomfortable having your hair all wet. Just try it out and if you like it then keep doing it. Your texture of hair may not cope with this method so as I say "To Each His Own"

Also try using the Shower Method, which is the h20 method in the shower! Having the water hitting your head and brushing it while it does this is a great way to achieve better connections with your waves!

Waving Warnings

These are some warnings for waving, like what not to do and what not.

1. Don't overbrush when you dont have a moisturizer in your hair or else this can result in your hair falling out due to your hair being too dry.

2. Don't spend too much money on products. All you need is a good firm brush with a good product like a moisturizer or if you like, use a pomade.

3. To Maintain waves, you must brush at least 5-10 mintues a day so you wont lose progress or just wear a wave cap or durag and brush a little bit every now and then.

4. Don't stop brushing!

720 Waves

People have been asking me how to get 720 waves lately. Well its all in the way that you brush your hair to achieve these waves. They are very unique and different. The only person I know that has 720 waves is Ant Green. He owns the site You can buy His E-Book that will teach you or just contact him. He also has a video on youtube which is posted below. To find him on youtube, type in 720 waves on youtube. Then his name is 720wave. Just send him a message about 720 waves. His e-book for 360 waves isn't worth buying since I have all the information on this blog for you. And his e-book costs money.
